Leonard and I have several areas on our ranch (near Lookout CA – Modoc County) that we leave as untouched wildlife areas. These wildflowers are some of the earliest that bloom in those protected areas on our property. As in my last post, the link to where they were previously discussed in detail are noted.
Dwarf Waterleaf (Hydrophyllum capitatum) – 13 May 2013
Sagebrush Buttercup (Ranunculus glaberrimus) – 26 March 2012
- Dwarf Waterleaf
- Sagebrush Buttercup
Prairie Starflower (Lithophragma bulbifera) – 15 April 2014
Daggerpod (Phoenicaulis cheiranthoides) – 27 February 2012
- Prairie Starflower
- Daggerpod
Desert Parsley (Lomatium utriculatum) – 7 August 2013
Red Stem Filaree (Erodium cicutarium) – 22 March 2012
- Desert Parsley
- Red Stem Filaree
These are not all the early wildflowers in our area. But these two Spring of 2019 Wildflower posts are some of the earliest to bloom each year.
That are all very pretty!
