Wildflowers V

Dwarf waterleaf (Hydrophyllum capitatum) is another very early spring flower that often goes unnoticed. The blue-purple to lavender flowers are densely crowded into ball-shaped clusters at the base of the plant – hidden by the pinately compound leaves. This dwarf waterleaf is growing in one of our pastures (Modoc County CA).
