Snow Geese

The flocks of snow geese (Chen caerulescens) wintering in Big Valley (Modoc County CA) are the largest in several years. When they take flight it resembles a snowstorm. Soon these beautiful waterfowl will head to the northern tundra to breed.

  1. Amazing, we just saw these snow geese in Sequim, WA a few weeks ago not this many.
